INTRODUCTION Tata Motors Limited is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company. H eadquartered in  Mumbai, India. Member of TATA Group. Founded in 1945  . The company is ranked 226th on the  Fortune Global 500  list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2016.

Its Products Include : Passenger cars, Trucks, Vans, Buses, Sports cars, Military vehicles.

HISTORY Tata entered the commercial vehicle sector in 1954 after forming a joint venture with Daimler-Benz of Germany. Tata launched the Indica in 1998, the first fully indigenous Indian passenger car . In 2008, Tata Motors acquired the English car maker Jaguar Land Rover, manufacturer of the Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford Motor Company . In June 2010, the company inaugurated the factory for the Nano mini car at Sanand , in the western state of Gujarat . On 8 March 2017, Tata Motors announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with  Volkswagen  to develop vehicles for India's domestic market.

MANAGING DIRECTOR & CEO Mr. Guenter Butschek Mr Butschek’s last assignment was with Airbus Group where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Airbus and Member of the Group Executive Committee. Prior to Airbus, Mr Butschek worked at Daimler AG, where he gained more than 25 years of experience in international automotive management, holding functions like production, industrialization and procurement.

Advertising agency Maxus India, Group media planning and buying agency, recently won the consolidated digital creative and media mandate for Tata Motors . Maxus has set up a large exclusive team in its Mumbai office for Tata Motors to handle the digital creative, media, social, and innovations portfolio . Commenting on the win, Kartik Sharma, managing director, Maxus South Asia, says in a press release, "We are delighted to be chosen by Tata Motors as its digital partner. Maxus, today, handles several leading brands from the Tata stable, and with this win we are truly humbled by the Group's faith in our capabilities."
