Teaching Practice

Fatima Lourdes Duran Vásquez

Teaching Practice
I had experienced many great moments while teaching.
These were days when I ended so happy and enthusiastic that, I knew I had
selected the right profession. On the other hand, I had days where the
students seemed uninterested, too talkative, or even worse a blow up
occurred and nothing got accomplished. Thankfully the average combined
with the positive days outshines my negative days.
I learned so much about teaching and dealing with students. My hope is that
the student involved was at least partially changed for the better from the
experience as I was.

Aims
To provide information about teaching methods
To know the difference between technical and methods
To understands the guidance that needs to be followed in teaching methods
approach

WHAT METHOD I USED
The method that I used was self-taught; I had to teaching a language. The first
thing I did upon entering the classroom was to introduce myself, as a basis for
better conversation, with key words; I was ask they things, I talked about their
hobbies. Between strangers, the same typical phrases are almost always used. My
goal was that each of my students had to develop skills and abilities that will serve
them wherever they go in life.
How had to used I the methods:
They had to learned the value of discipline and diligence by seeing the results of
attending class, taking notes, reading material, and doing homework. They had to
also have developed their interpretive skills, the ability to read and follow
directions, and their ingles for speaking, listening, and reading.
Observations
In my first days of the assigned class, I had to observed the students’ abilities and
behaviors. I observed how they deal with their fellow students and how they deal
with the teachers. Those observations helped me to adjust me self on how to fulfill
my responsibilities in my assigned class. Observing the teaching strategies used by
my cooperating teachers was done by me.
I learned some things that I may use whenever I will be the one to stand in front to
conduct a class. I did different methods to make that. it was discussion more
comprehensive to the students. One of the methods used was the demonstration
method.
In the whiteboard for example, the demonstrate to the students how to grammar
help to develop the unit of a book; I had to let the students observed, what I was
doing. That was just the one of the methods used in the class. My observation
helped me create my own teaching strategies using the methodologies I have
studied in my pre-service education.

One-minute papers:
I had to give an open-ended question, to the students was spend some minute,
written their answer on cards, which was collected by me; often I given to them at
the end of class the question, I had to asked to student the most important concept
that they had to learned.

Interactive lecture demonstrations:
The Students had to make predictions about the outcome of a classroom
demonstration. They then had to observe the experiment or demonstration,
describe the results, and discuss and reflect on the observed outcome.

Case studies:
The Students had to draw inferences and make decisions, given a detailed
description of a scenario.

Concept mapping:
The students had to create a visual representation, which identifies and
shows the interconnections among various ideas related to a specific topic or
problem.

Teaching technique:
Positive days were taught vocabulary of Parts of Speech in the chalkboard it
was used in presentation for appropriate teaching-aid. They has Just
listening have limitations, their Eyes and hands join the ears.

Didactic techniques:
I explained to them as it is the difference in reading and writing in ingles,
they had to pass in front of the class to write on the Blackboard, and listen to
audio about a story they had to remember colors and numbers,

Evaluation of Experiences
Working with the students in my whole period of practice teaching became
the culminating of my study. I learned lots of knowledge in working with
the number sections in a year level and numbers of students in a section.
Because of this, I have used all the methods and strategies in teaching I have
studied and learned during my pre-service education in the school Centro
Escolar Canton Samuria

Approach teaching

o At first my lesson plans included a list of objectives,

o Each objective stated in the lesson plan be tied to some specific
assignment I could see that this strategy was highly necessary and
effective.

o The responsibility was placed on me to make sure that the objective
had been met by way of the students’ ability to complete the
assignment.

o I also found that I could not try to include too much in each lesson,
as each lesson period went by very quickly.

o I learned that it is of utmost importance as a teacher to be up front
about behavior.

o I had the opportunity to observe the enthusiasm of the music in
English for pupil.

o I could reflect back on their lessons and decide what I would take
from their styles and what I would do differently.

o I was able to develop a good relationship with each child because of
the small class.
