3. “I’ll Describe It and You Guess It” For this game, I’ll pick two persons from the class to play the game. One person from the two chosen persons will have to bring out the thing he/she brought from home and describe or define it while the other person is blindfolded. The blindfolded person will then have to guess the random thing based on the descriptions provided. After 3 failed answer attempts, he/she would be given a chance to touch the thing for better sensing. If the two chosen persons failed to get the right answer, they will have to face consequences. If they can get the answer right, an award/prize awaits them. The consequences is to pick one term or class or differentiating characteristics from the box of papers and they will have to fill the missing parts to form a definition .

4. Words are not as simple as they appear. Their meanings can be complex and difficult as they operate differently in various contexts. The word plant , for instance, can be used in Biology , but it can also be utilized differently when we talk about business production. It could mean differently in Engineering. This is why it is important to be able to navigate from operational to technical definitions.

5. In writing, we often need to define terms clearly so there’s no misunderstanding. There are two types of definitions we will focus on: technical and operational definitions .

6. Technical Definition or sometimes called conceptual/theoretical definition is the universal meaning of the term . It refers to the definition of a word as used in particular field like Science, Law, or Engineer. What is Technical Definition?

7. -It is a definition that comes from different reference materials such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, books, journals, and even websites. -mostly refers to the aspect of explaining or describing any terminology.

8. Examples: An automobile is a motorized vehicle consisting of four wheels and powered by an internal-combustion engine. A computer is a device used in performing, assessing, evaluation and following commands set by the users.

9. Operational Definition is a result of the process of operationalization and it is used to define something (term/object) in terms of process.

10. - It is the process of defining a word/term of how it is used in a sentence, or using context clues. - It is the application of the word/term. These may include the various attempts to define or explain a certain process and its properties including but not limited to the characterization of the event itself.

11. Examples: Computer is a device or machine used in performing, assessing, evaluation and following commands set by the users. A computer is something used in doing homework or browsing the internet.

12. Examples: An automobile is a motorized vehicle consisting of four wheels and powered by an internal-combustion engine. An automobile is a car or truck that carries passengers or cargoes from place to place.

13. So a technical definition might be an automobile is a machine with four wheels and includes details of the automobile that make it function. Operational definition would be an automobile is a car or truck that gets you around from place to place and caries cargo or passengers, and makes it easier to live in the city or provinces.

14. A g umamela is a flowering plant that has distinct features including large trumpet-shaped petals and a prominent stamen tube. A gumamela is a flowering plant that beautifies the surroundings.

15. The technical definition is a general meaning, while the operational definition explains how the term is used in a particular context. Technical definition is the dictionary meaning of a term, while operational definition is how the term is being used on specific situations.
