Technical Textile Market
Introduction Textile materials, which are manufactured to meet technical and performance requirements rather than decorative or aesthetical requirements, are generally known as technical or industrial textiles. The main application areas for these textile materials are agriculture & horticulture, construction & civil engineering, footwear & clothing, household furniture & coverings, cleaning & conveying industrial equipment, automotive industry, environmental protection, packaging industry, personal protective equipment, sports, and leisure.
Technical Textile Global Market The global technical textiles market size was valued at USD 213.68 billion in 2022 and is projected to grow from USD 225.99 billion in 2023 to USD 346.67 billion by 2030, exhibiting a CAGR of 6.3% during the forecast period. Asia Pacific dominated the technical textiles market with a market share of 36.03% in 2022. Moreover, the technical textiles market size in the U.S. is projected to grow significantly, reaching an estimated value of USD 85.30 billion by 2032, driven by higher engagement of the country in developing new next generation textile materials.
Technical Textile Global Market This report forecasts revenue growth at global, regional, and country levels and provides an analysis of the latest industry trends in each of the sub-segments from 2018 to 2030. For the purpose of this study, Grand View Research has segmented the global technical textile market report on the basis of manufacturing, end-use, and region:

Knit production To understand knits, we must first learn the basic structure that differentiates knits from woven. Knit loops are formed by needles knitting across the width of the fabric in a horizontal direction. This is called the course. In the first illustration, if the square is one inch, the swatch has five courses per inch. When we look at the same swatch and refer to the vertical column of loops, this is called the wale. In the second illustration, there are five wales per inch. When we look at a single jersey stitch, the stitch breaks down into two elements: the crown and the legs . You will notice that the legs form a āvā shape, and the crown is more noticeable on the reverse side of the fabric. Learning to find the crown and legs leads to understanding stitch count and gauge.
Knit production Knitted fabrics can be produced from a wide variety of yarns, including cotton, silk, wool, viscose, spandex, and polyester. Knitted fabric manufacturers follow the four main steps in producing the knits.
Technical Production The textile industry is not only experiencing clothing application but also continuing a major outlook towards the non-clothing application of textiles known as Technical textiles. The distinctiveness and confrontation of technical textiles lie in the need to understand and apply the principles of textile science and technology to give solutions, in the main leading technological problems but also often to engineering problems as well.
