VenkateswaraTemple is a Hindu temple
situated in the hill town of Tirumalaat
Tirupatiin Chittoordistrict of Andhra
Pradesh, India.
The Temple is dedicated to Venkateswara,
a form of Vishnu, who is believed to have
appeared here to save mankind from trials
and troubles of Kali Yuga.
The MahabodhiTemple or the Mahabodhi
Mahavihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,
is an ancient, but much rebuilt and
restored, Buddhist temple in BodhGaya,
marking the location where the Buddha is
said to have attained enlightenment.
BodhGaya is about 96 km from Patna,
Bihar state.
TheSomnathMandir(also known as the DeoPatan)
located inPrabhasPatannearVeravalinSaurashtraon
the western coast ofGujarat,Indiais believed to be the
first among the twelvejyotirlingashrines ofShiva.
The present temple was reconstructed in
theChaulukyastyleofHindu temple architectureand
completed in May 1951.
The reconstruction was started under the orders of the
Home Minister of IndiaVallabhbhaiPateland
completed after his death.
