TENNIS ELBOW / LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS Is a painful condition of the elbow caused by overuse. Causes pain around the outside of the elbow. O veruse injury caused by eccentric overload at the origin of the common extensor tendon, leading to tendinosis and inflammation of the ECRB.

Symptoms: Tenderness outside of the elbow Pain in forearm and in back of the hand Pain when bending the arm, gripping small objects Pain and stiffness when fully extending arm Uncomfortable feeling when twisting forearm Treatment NSAIDS or steroid injection Activity modification Bracing Special Test Mill’s Test Cozen’s Test MILLS TEST Fully extends the elbow Wrist pronated and perform wrist flexion If negative: Examiner place modest pressure with thumb on the extensor origin COZEN’S TEST Examiner palpate the lateral epicondyle using thumb. Forearm in pronated, and full fist. Radially deviate and extend the wrist. Examiner will gives resistance on the fist.
