The BIRTH OF Prophet MUHAMMAD, Peace Be Upon Him: The Prophet Muhammad SAW was born in Makkah on Monday, during the month of Rabee’ Al- Awwal in the year of the elephant. His father, Abdullah, married Aminah bint wahb ’ the noblest of the Qureshi women. On his way back from Syria, he died. Aminah was pregnant with the noblest of all, Muhammad, peace be upon him. She was sad because her son became an orphan, before he was born. When his grandfather, Abdul Mutallib, heard of his birth, he was very happy and hurried to see him. He carried him, kissed him and named him “Muhammad”. His nanny Baraka, who was nicknamed Um Ayman, cared for Him. Arabs at that time used to send their sons to the desert to learn the excellent Arabic language and grow healthy
