CONTROL GENDER ISSUES: Gender differentiated work schedule resulted in male indulging in more leisure activities than the females. - Men generally retained a portion of their wages for personal needs such as cigarettes and liquors. However, women plowed back whatever they earned for the family upkeep. PROJECT STRATEGY: The women component of the project include homemakers classes such as root crop salad, pineapple jam and coconut sauce. Income generating home industry projects namely peanut butter making and nata de coco production. GENDER ISSUES ARISING FROM THE STRATEGY - Women are overworked

CONCIENTIZATION GENDER ISSUES: Male and female are involved in land preparation as well as application of fertilizers but post-harvest relies heavily on women. PROJECT STRATEGY: Substitution of work. Men carry work as women also carry work. GENDER ISSUES RESULTING FROM THE STRATEGY: Women spent longer time for both livelihood and household activities while men were engaged in more leisure activities.

ACCESS GENDER ISSUES Male and female where equally involved in securing production loans, but women are more active than men in raising funds for household needs STRATEGY Equal opportunity for men and women in raising funds and women must not work anymore in the field to focus on raising funds for household needs. GENDER ISSUES RESULTING FROM STRATEGY - Men will be overworked
