2. INTRODUCTION Incorporated in 1943 as the first large-scale fertilizer plant in India. Located at Udyogamandal , Kochi, Kerala. Started production in 1947 . Initially a private sector company , transitioned to a P ublic sector company in 1960 . Chairman And Director: Shri S. C. Mudgerikar , Shri S. C. Mudgerikar is a techno-manager and has wide ranging experience in managing technology based organisations. The Government of India became the major shareholder in 1962 .

3. MILESTONE OF COMPANY 1943: Established as a private company and became the first large-scale fertilizer plant in India at Udyogamandal , Kerala. 1947: Began production of ammonium sulfate with a capacity of 50,000 MT per annum. 1960: Converted into a public sector company; the Government of India became the largest shareholder by 1962. 1965 : Set up FACT Engineering and Design Organisation (FEDO) to provide consultancy services for fertilizer and chemical plants. 1966: Established FACT Engineering Works (FEW) to support manufacturing and infrastructure needs.

MARKETING DIVISION The marketing network of FACT is spread over the southern states of India i. e Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karnataka,  and Telangana .  AndhraPradesh The distribution network consists of 42 Agro Service Centers, 43 Stock Point Dealers  and 56 field storage points and over 6000 retail selling points in these states.  FACT is also expanding its market to North Indian states like Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha

ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY:- FACT Engineering and Design Organisation (FEDO) offers engineering consultancy services in sectors like chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, hydrometallurgy, and power generation. 2. EQUIPMENT FABRICATION:- FACT Engineering Works (FEW) provides fabrication services for industrial equipment, catering to various industrial needs. 3. BUILDING PRODUCT MANUFACTURING:- Through its joint venture FACT RCF Building Products Ltd (FRBL), the company manufactures building materials such as load-bearing panels using phosphogypsum . 8. COMPLEX FERTLIZERS FACTAMFOS  20:20:0:13 is a chemical blend. ZINCATED FACTAMFOS  contains essential micro nutrient Zinc at 0.5% in addition to major nutrients Nitrogen and Phosphorus and secondary nutrient Sulphur .

9. STRAIGHT FERTLIZERS Ammonium sulphate  is produced and marketed by FACT in past 5 decades to the tune of 2-2.25 lakhs metric tonnes .  It is a nitrogeneous fertiliser containing 20.6% Nitrogen in ammoniacal form .

10. ORGANIC FERTILISERS FACT ORGANIC (CITY COMPOST) is a natural manure with product specifications confirming to FCO Standards. ORGANIC PLUS  is a poultry-based natural manure marketed by FACT in 50 Kg bags. It supplies 14% total Organic Carbon, 0.5% NPK and small quantities of micronutrients also.

11. PROM  is an organic-based natural manure and the product is a Govt. of India's initiative under PM-PRANAM. PROM is marketed by FACT and the product specifications are confirming to FCO Standard. It is a high-quality, slow-releasing organic manure which provides essential nutrients to enrich the soil. 

12. IMPORTED FERTILISERS FACT has been importing and marketing high quality Muriate of Potash from Russia, Africa etc. for the past several decades .  FACT NPK 15-15-15  contains equal amounts of 3 major nutrients, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium 15% each.

13. CAPROLACTUM It is manufactured from raw materials such as Benzene, Sulphur (as Sulphur-di-oxide and Oleum), Ammonia, Carbon-di-oxide. It is used in manufacturing Nylon Tyre cord, Nylon filament yarn, Engineering plastics , etc. The major sectors catered to are the Textile and Automobile Industries . It is the raw material for Nylon-6. The product quality of FACT Caprolactam is among the best available in the world .   Nitric Acid and Soda Ash - Small quantities of these are obtained from Caprolactam Plant as a by-product.  The annual capacity is 50000 TPA .
