Introduction:

desert Desert is an arid region characterized by extremely high or low temperatures and has scarce vegetation . A place receives very little rainfall .

Location Hot desert are found in Tropical zone . The Hot desert of the world are located near Tropics, between latitude 15 north and 30 south .

climate The Region receive very little amount of rainfall- less than 25cm in a year. Some Region receive less than 5cm of annual rainfall. Very little moisture No clouds forms

climate The lands were heat up and cool down quickly . The temperature varies greatly during the course of a day, moving from Extremely hot to cold within hours .

Plant life Plants find it difficult to grow in deserts due to lack of Water . The plants that do manage to grow here are hardy plants that have adapted to desert conditions. Some Plants have thick stems that store water .

Plants life The leaves of desert plants usually have a waxy coating or thorns . This helps reduce water lost from the leaves .

oasis A oasis is a place in the desert where fresh water from a spring or well comes up to the surface, supporting the growth of plants.

camel For thousands of years, Camels have been the main means of transport for people living in deserts Ship of the Desert . The Camel is especially well-adapted to life in the desert.

camel It stores fat in its hump and water in its body. This is help it travel for days without water or food . Its feet are large and flat , which helps it walk in the sand . It has small nostrils and two rows of eyelashes to help keep the sand out of its nose and eyes .

Human life The extreme climate and lack of water life in the desert difficult. Less populated region in the world. Most people live in the cities located along the edges of the desert . Around an oasis .
