The influence of art in ancient Greece

Description
Through depictions of Greek gods, though
they are beings considered higher above,
they are depicted in the image of humans in
ideal body forms—extremely fit, flawless,
chiseled, and young.
Which raises a question:

Beginning in prehistory pre-Greek Cycladic
and the Minoan civilizations, both of which
were influenced by local traditions and the
art of ancient Egypt, Greek art has
impacted much details to sculpture within
pottery and created the foundation for the
materials that we use today.
Why?

Why do they value
perfection in beauty
so much?
One of the biggest aspects of Greek culture was
their focus on individualism and uniqueness.
The idealised human form within sculptures reflected
their belief in the importance of balance, harmony, and the
accomplishment of human beings along with wanting to
worship their gods properly; it takes one imperfection to
ruin everything, and the sculptures have to discard their
work and start from the beginning again.
