The media is all around us, like T.V, Radio, books, Magazines, Newspaper etc. Media connects people with each other around the world. It entertains us, educates us, and help us remaining up to date. Media covers all aspects of life including social issues, economic issues, religious issues, culture issues etc.

6. Political Role Media gives us progressive report of Government. Modern media is free and believes in freedom to express opinions. Its role in politics ranges from major political processes to individual life. People depends on media as basics so it plays a very important role. Media cover each and every political events and helps people remain up to dated. Mass media provides openness to democracy. Media help people understand Government operations.

It ranges from T.V, R adio, and now a days all new applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc. This media allows people to communicate with others. Social media has definitely made us closer to other parts of the world. In this generation, social media are very much accepted by the society.

8. Positive Role Media is most important source of information. Media collectively gives nation’s opinion. So, positive role of media makes nation strong. Media entertains us, highlights political engagements, and increase awareness among people. We can get public opinion on important issues through media. It is a source of communication. Media provides best platform to update one from whole affairs of the world.

9. Negative Role Negative role of media is to mislead people. Media also exaggerate  the problems. It plays with emotions of people. People specially a large number of young people waste their time using social media uselessly. Main negative role is introduction of excessive glamour in media that has crossed limits. Children try to follow what they watch on T.V unaware wether it is good or bad. Sometime media promote vulgarity and increase incidents like rape in the society.

Conclusion Although media has many positive aspects only it is serving us in our social, political, academic life it is not without negative impacts like playing with people emotions and misleading them. But its positive role are more than its negative role so choice is all ours which role we pick and prefer.
