Climate: Prince Edward Island is located off the coast of the Eastern shore of Canada's mainland. As
one of the 4 Atlantic Maritime provinces, PEI, like all the other provinces located nearby, has a
moderated maritime climate that, when combined with the rich agricultural soils of the region,
makes it an ideal location for growing crops and raising livestock. The area's climate characteristics
