the year.
In the northern hemisphere:
from December to February.
In the southern hemisphere:
from June to August.

SPRING.
Season after spring during
which temperature
gradually rises.
In the northern
hemisphere: from March to
June.
In the southern
hemisphere from
September to December.

SUMMER.
DEFINITION:
Season of the year between
spring and autumn when the
weather is warmest.
North of the equator it lasts
from June to September.
South of the equator it lasts
from December to March.

AUTUMN (FALL)
DEFINITION:
Season of the year between
summer and winter, when
leaves fall.
North of the equator, it lasts
from September to
November.
South of the equator, it lasts
