ABOUT THE AUTHOR William Shakespeare   was born on  26 April 1564 and died on 23 April 1616. he was and English   poet ,   playwright , and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the  English language  and the world's pre-eminent dramatist .

About The Poem THE SEVEN AGES IN THIS POEM, THE POET COMPARES THE WORLD AS A DRAMA IN WHICH ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE THE ACTORS WHO PLAY DIFFERENT ROLES. ACCORDING TO THE POET THERE ARE SEVEN AGES OF LIFE INFANCY CHILDHOOD TEENAGE ADULT AGE MIDDLE AGE EARLY OLD AGE OLD AGE

ENTERS THE DRAMA BY TAKING BIRTH AND THEN -

INFANCY A helpless baby, just crying and throwing up. Totally Dependent on Others.  The stage of  infancy  lasts from birth until approximately the age of 2. After it !

childhood  This is where his formal education starts but he is not entirely happy with school. His mother is ambitious for him and has washed his face thoroughly before sending him off to school but he goes very slowly and reluctantly. He moves like a Snail while going to school. AFTER IT !

TEENAGE He’s grown into his late teens and his main interest is his love whether environment , pet , family. He is sentimental, sighing and writing poems , making himself a bit ridiculous. It is the most developing stage of life in which- After it !

ADULTHOOD He’s a bold and fearless soldier. He is Passionate in the Causes he’s Prepared to Fight for and Quickly Springs into Action.  He works on developing his reputation and takes risks for it. AFTER IT !

MIDDLE AGE He regards himself as wise and experienced and doesn’t mind sharing his views and ideas with anyone and likes making speeches. He has made a name for himself and is prosperous and respected. Now after a lot of Struggle he is now well settled and is the leader of the family. After it !

OLD AGE He is old and nothing like his former self – physically or mentally.  He looks and behaves like an old man, dresses like one and he has a thin piping voice now. It is the beginning of his old age ,at this he becomes formal to the society and now, After it !

EXTREME OLD AGE  He loses his mind in senility. His hair and teeth fall out and his sight goes. Then he loses everything as he sinks into the oblivion of death. & AT LAST EXITS THE DRAMA!
