3. What was the situation of women in Iran before the 17th of september 2022 ? There are 49% of women in Iran (2020) Iran is a muslim country Politicals restrictions: The women is important in the home life, but she is less important than the men in the society Women can vote but they can’t stand for elections Professionals restrictions: There are as many men as women in the university in Iran, but it is more difficult for a women to find a job because there are many jobs only for mens A women can’t move out of the country ( even for work ) if she doesn’t have the permission of her husband Social restrictions: Women have to wear the muslim veil when they go oustside Two women can’t be lesbian If a women want to go out of the country, she have to ask the permission of her husband first A women have to ask the permission at her husband for a lot of things

Mahsa Amini is died on 16 september 2002 There is two versions of faits because the country don‘t saiy the samedi than the other People She died by heart attack without any physical contact (the police’s version) She died following the intervention of the authorities in the street

The first manifestation took place in the home province of Mahsa Amini The 24th of september , there was a manifestation in the capital of iran , but there was really violent and there was some death because a women can’t be the leader of a manifestation there . On the placards of the womens during the manifestations, we can see the slogans : «  women , life, freedom   » Masoud Barzani, a member of the government offered his condolences at the family of Mahsa Amini There have been manifestations by the iranian Non- musilm women who want religion to be separed of politic On the manifestations, some women decided to cut their hair , or burn their musilm veil
