The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is ruled by the oldest monarch of modern world – the Queen Elizabeth II. She came to power after her dad George VI had died. She was a woman in her early twenties then, but still managed to become the most famous and powerful monarch of all times. Although the country has rich customs there are not less interesting and important traditions concerning the Queen herself. That’s why I decided to devote my project to her.
Don’t turn your back to the Queen No one must turn back to the Queen. If the meeting is over you should wait until she leaves first or you should leave the room facing the Queen.

Where the Queen puts her purse tells her staff what to do The Queen uses her purse to send her staff signals when she wants to get out of a conversation. If she puts her purse on her right arm while talking to someone, her staff is expected to end the chat.
When the Queen travels abroad she always packs all-black outfit This rule concerns not only the Queen but all members of the Royal Family. It is done in order to show that the Royals honor a person who dies wherever they are at this moment.
The Queen doesn’t have to have a driver’s license The Queen is the only person in the U.K. who isn’t required to have a driver’s license. She also didn’t need to take a driving test and can drive a car without a number plate. The Queen is the only British monarch in history to be actually trained as a mechanic (in WWII).
