ENGLISH This is Jody’s fawn. …

Summary of the prose Jody’s Father Mr. Baxter was bitten by a rattle snake. He killed a doe and used its liver and heart to suck the poison from his body. The next morning he felt much better but , his son Jody was worried about the doe’s fawn which was left all alone. He discussed the same thing with his father, His father agreed with his idea but he said to ask permission to his mother

Then he went to his mother to ask permission, and his Mother agreed with his idea but only if he agrees on a Promise. He should share his milk to the Fawn. Doc willson and Mill wheel also approved considering that they have already left the fawn motherless.

Jody went with mill wheel on his horse to the place where his father was bitten by the snake. When Jody reached the place he found Buzzards hovering over the carcass of the dead doe. He threw his bough at them and they flew into an adjacent tree.

He went in search of the fawn and went into the forest. There he found the fawn .he carried it in his arms and get it to his home. After going home , Jody went to the kitchen. The fawn wobbled after him. A pan of morning’s milk stood in the kitchen safe .

He poured milk into a small gourd. He dipped his fingers in the milk and thrust them into the fawn’s soft wet mouth. This shows how kind is Jody.
