TIGERS!! Did you know that....?

The t iger is the biggest species of the cat family.

Tigers can reach up to 3.3 meters in length and weigh as much as 300 kilograms!

There are nine species of tigers, 3 of which are extinct The remaining 6 species are on the endangered animals list

There are more tigers held in captivity then there are in the wild

Tiger cubs leave their mother when they are around 2 years of age .

Tigers can easily jump over 5 meters in length.

Tigers have been known to reach speeds up to 65  km per hour

The tiger is a carnivore which means that they are meat eaters.

Tigers prefer to eat animals such as, wild boar, deer, and buffalo. Although they have been seen eating leopards, pythons, bears and even crocodiles !

Tigers like to hunt at night. There night vision is 6 times better then ours!

A tiger's roar can be heard as far as three kilometers away

Most tigers have 100 stripes Like our fingerprints, the patterns on tigers are unique to each animal.
