Dr. Smith’s academic foundation includes recently completing a Ph.D. in Public Administration
from Liberty University, an Executive Certificate in Public Administration from Liberty University,
a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Public Administration. His extensive
knowledge is complemented by hands-on experience as a fire chief and paramedic, roles that
have shaped his practical approach to emergency management.
A recognized thought leader, Dr. Smith has contributed to the field through his published
dissertation on emergency management single points of failure, further solidifying his
commitment to advancing public safety and disaster preparedness. His work has garnered
Florida Governor Citations for his exemplary contributions to disaster response and public
safety initiatives.
