I remember the first day at Holy Rosary very vividly. I was five years old and I walked in with my

The catholic education I have received at Holy Rosary really shaped me has a person because it has
shown me how true friends are. Growing up has an only child I was pretty attention seeking and it
didn t help that I was the most energetic kid ever. My parents were always at work so I would go to
base. At base I met kids that were in older grades and always thought of them has adults. They were so

In second grade I got tested for ADHD. I did have it. I would go to classes after school and they would

We took many safety precautions including going up the mountain when water levels weren t
dangerously high, choosing a calm day avoiding hazardous weather. We made sure that we all stayed
together and set up lines of communication. It was essential that we wore warm comfortable clothing
with a first aid kit always at hand.
Aims
When we set out at the start we had several aims to consider.
1) Does the river discharge increase the further from the source?
2) Is there a relationship between river width and stream velocity?
3) As the wetted perimeter increases, river velocity decreases.
4) The further from the source the stones deposited become smaller, smoother and more rounded.
5) Does river temperature readings increase the further from the source?
Data Collection
At each of our seventeen stops we recorded readings for river width, average depth, cross sectional
area, wetted perimeter, river discharge, types of stones and water temperature.
We systematically obtained our samples by measuring every ten meters at each of our four locations.
In my analysis of the River Shimna I selected three areas within the river study. They were the

Over the past month I have been observing in Lebanon High school in a biology class. During my
time in this class I have observed a lot and have had a lot of great opportunities that have helped open
my eyes toward teaching, and the skills that are necessary to be successful in the field. While there I
had the opportunity to work with a student with learning disabilities. During this interaction I learned
how to best work with those who have a learning disability and that it takes the ability to think outside
the box when trying to explain to the student what the task is so that they are able to understand what
they are being asked to do.
While observing the student with learning disabilities I observed a few interesting qualities that this
student had that stood out from the other students. One of the qualities that I observed was that he was
quiet. Unlike the rest of his class who would turn around and talk with the kids behind them, he would
just sit there and wait for further instructions. Another interesting observation that I made was that my
student would be interested in his work, but as time went on he began to loose interest in his work and
would need someone to remind him to stay on task which was one of his accommodations. I found
that his ability to become unmotivated was more prevalent when he was taking notes with the class off

Logos is used to show logic and persuade an audience by reason. When the author talks about the
irony and the reality of imperialism, he compares himself to the figure of a sahib. The comparison to
the sahib is a term that was used to name aristocratic rulers. It is an important symbol of their cultural
image. British imperialism is a hostile environment and does not justify exploitation by controlling the
