UNDERSTANDING
KINDNESS
Being considerate,
generous, and friendly
towards others.
Kindnessmeans being
nice or offering the best
of yourself to someone
whether it be a minute,
second, or longer.

Science of kindness
2019 study-Small acts of
kindness whether observed,

personally to strangers or loved

more acts of kindness, the
greater the happiness.
2016 report-When small acts of
kindness are performed,
oxytocin and endorphins are
released in the brain, and new
neural connections are formed.
As a result, performing small
acts of kindness can be self-
reinforcing

sense of belonging.
Most importantly for people in recovery,
creating positive human connections helps to
build trust and it is a powerful step in their
healing process.

CULTIVATING
KINDNESS
Practice self-compassion by
treating yourself with
kindness and understanding.
Cultivate empathy by actively
listening and seeking to
understand others'
perspectives.
Engage in random acts of
kindness, such as helping
someone in need or offering a
kind word.

OVERCOMING
CHALLENGES
TO KINDNESS
Challenge stereotypes and biases by
fostering understanding and empathy
towards diverse individuals and groups.
Promote education and awareness
about the benefits and importance of
compassion and kindness.
Encourage self-reflection and personal
growth to overcome personal barriers
to compassion and kindness.

BASIS OF PROJECT
◦This project is based on the moral
of chapter "THE RATTRAP" by
"Selma lagerlof". The chapter tells
us about ripple effect kindness
can create. By end of chapter we
get to learn that random or little
acts of kindness can have
profound effect on someone's life
like the way rattrap seller was
entirely changed by edla
willmansson's kind gestures.

THE RATTRAP –INSPIRING
EXAMPLE PORTRAYING
KINDNESS
◦SCENE: The protagonist, the tramp, is
offered shelter and food by a kind girl,
who treats him with kindness despite her
father’s disagreement.
◦IMPACT: This act of kindness brings
warmth and hope to the tramp, making
him feel valued and appreciated. It
restores his faith in humanity and
encourages him to reflect on his own
actions.-
◦INFLUENCE: The tramp's
transformation inspires him to change his
way of life, leading him to later exhibit
compassion towards the young girl, Edla,
and her father.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF KINDNESS
IF YOU DO SOMETHING
KIND TO 3 PEOPLE AND
THEY DO SOMETHING
KIND TO OTHER 3
PEOPLE , THIS IS HOW
MANY PEOPLE CAN BE
AFFECTED.
NOW IMAGINE HOW
MANY PEOPLE WOULD
BE HAPPY IF YOU WERE
KIND TO EVERYONE
EVERYDAY.

A REQUEST TO ALL
◦Start choosing kindness in Your
actions and interactions.
Remember, kindness is a choice
we have the power to make.
◦Let us adopt kindness as a
guiding principle, making a
conscious effort to be kind in all
aspects of our lives.
