5. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students are able to: 1. Identify different towel folding 2. Appreciate the importance of towel folding 3.demonstrate correct folding methods and techniques

6. Group Activity! Class will be divided into 6 groups. Each group should arrange the correct order of the following steps in folding towels, then choose your answer from the choices given. Your group will receive strip s of paper for you to write your answer and a marker. You will be given 30 seconds to arrange steps of every towel folding . The bell will ring if the time is up and each group must show their answer to the class. Group with the correct answer will get 1 point for every question.

7. P ull out a piece of towel in each corner to form the leaves under the flower. Put your hand under one of the corners and pull out the piece under it to form a petal . Repeat this with the other 3 corners. P lac e your towel on a flat surface. Take one of the corners to the center of the towel. Do the same with the other 3 corners. 8. Fold the top corners downwards and inwards until they meet in the center. Lay the towel flat in a landscape orientation. 9. Fold each short end towards the middle. Fold one long end towards the middle. Repeat on the other side. Finally, pick up one end and fold it over the other. 11. Roll up the tail edge. Keep rolling carefully until you reach the other end. Next, take the loose end and tuck it underneath the outer layer. Now concentrate on the underside of the rose. There are two layers of napkin here. Pull the two layers apart. Pull the outer layer and reverse it around the rose . Start with your towel folded into a triangle. Now, fold the triangle up from the bottom edge.​ Keep folding up until the unfolded towel portion is about twice the height of your roll left at the top. Turn the napkin over. 13. TOWEL FOLDING is also called Towel Arrangement/Towel Art . It is an artistic type of folding that is created by folding towels and gives personal touch to the guest room. Some of the creations require the use of multiple towels such as bath towel, hand towel or face towel.

21. Steps in Folding Bath Towel 1.Start by spreading your bath towel out on a flat surface. 2. Fold one long end towards the middle. Repeat on the other side. 3 .Next, fold each short end towards the middle. 4 .Finally, pick up one end and fold it over the other. Smooth out the surface and store towels in a stacked display.

23. Steps in Folding Hand and Face Towel 1.Spread your towel out horizontally, with the long edge closest to you. 2.Fold it into thirds, from top to bottom. 3.From the side, fold it in half — smooth the folds and edges out as you go — and then in half once more.

24. FOLDING HANGING TOWEL

25. 1.Hang the big towel in the towel rack three times fold. 2.With a hand towel, open with the short edges at the sides. 3.Fold the bottom edge 3/4 the way to the top edge. 4.Flip the hand towel over the backside folding, the left and right sides facing each other slightly overlap. 5.Pleat the right side over to the left side of the hands towel. 6.Hang the towel on top of the big towel as a pocket. 7.With another face towel folding for decoration style, hold one inch over and under making a face towel fan. 8.Spread out the soft edges and put it into the pocket of the hand towel to see the results.

26. ROSE TOWEL

27. Start with your towel folded into a triangle. Now, fold the triangle up from the bottom edge.​ Keep folding up until the unfolded towel portion is about twice the height of your roll left at the top. Turn the napkin over. Roll up the tail edge. 28. FLOWER TOWEL

29. Start by placing your towel on a flat surface. Take one of the corners to the center of the towel. Do the same with the other 3 corners. You'll have a smaller square now. Hold the corners again and take them to the center. Place your other hand under the square and flip it around. Take the 4 corners of the towel to the center and hold them with your hand. Put your hand under one of the corners and pull out the piece under it to form a petal . Repeat this with the other 3 corners. Put your hand under the towel right between two petals. You'll find a piece of towel that you have to pull out just a little corner to form the leaves under the flower.

30. Lay the towel flat in a landscape orientation. Fold the top corners downwards and inwards until they meet in the center. Roll the outside edges inward toward the center. Fold the resulting arrow into a Z. Lay the Z down and squeeze the corners to set the curves.

31. Drill Practice the different kinds of towel folding by following the correct procedures. In each group, choose 1 representative to lead and guide his/ her classmates in doing the towel folding. SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT Performance Task: Towel Folding (30 Points) Directions: Using the bath, hand or face towel, demonstrate at least 2 artistic folding method and techniques of towels in 5 minutes. You must submit a documentation via messenger in a form of a photo, video, printed photo or other creative compilation in the completion of the performance task. Leader in each group will be the one to rate the performance of the member and the teacher will rate the leader and presentation (Video,photo..) of each students using the rubrics.
