Now these three different societies lays emphasis on different things. we are gong to see now where does the traditional lay its emphasis?
Here we are going to look for the answers of three major questions which will reveal the aspects of a traditional society. where does a traditional lay its emphasis? What does a traditional society accepts? What are characteristics of a traditional society have?
The traditional society lay emphasis upon; Religion ( magic) Behavioral norms and values. Implying continuity with a real or imagined past.
The traditional society widely accepts; Rituals. Sacrifices and holy feasts.
The characteristics of a traditional society. Individual’s social status is determined by his or her birth. Individual’s does not strive for social mobility. Individual’s behavior is governed by customs, traditions,
Norms and values. These values are mostly linked deeply with the past. Social organizations, Stable relationship among the individuals and sub group. Relationships are based on hierarchy. Kinship relations predominate in interaction. Here individual mostly identify himself or herself with the primary group.
Individuals are given more importance in social relations than his or her positions. People are conservative. Economy is simple. Mythical thoughts predominates.
