There is vs There are We use there is to express the existence of singular nouns. We use tliere are to express the existence of plural nouns.

Simple present tense The Simple Present tense is used to express habitual or routine actions and general or personal information. The Simple Present Tense is used to express habitual or routine actions and general or personal truths.

Examples … She smokes. ( Habit ) I listen to music. ( Hobby ) They wake up at 5 o’clock in the morning. ( Routine ) My mother drinks tea every morning. ( Routine ) Water boils at 100 °C. ( Fact ) The stars shine at night. ( True statement / Fact ) The sun rises in the east.  ( True statement / Fact ) Cows graze grass. ( True statement )   My father goes to the office. ( work/routine ) She works at the Airport. ( work/routine )

SIMPLE PAST TENSE We use the Simple Past Tense to express a completed action at a definite time in the past.

HAVE TO… We use “ have to” to expresses the idea of necessity or obligation in the present and with reference to the future.

Idiomatic future   Da a entender intención , o que una acción se va realizar en el futuro inmediato, y para ello se usa siempre la acción " to be going to " . We use the Idiomatic Future to express future actions.

Past continuous tense El " past continuous " describe acciones o eventos situados en un tiempo anterior al presente, cuyo comienzo se sitúa en el pasado y que todavía no ha concluido en el momento de hablar. Dicho de otro modo, expresa una acción incompleta o inconclusa del pasado.

FUTURE ACTIONS We use will to express FUTURE ACTIONS we are SURE about. Example: I will graduate from the university in May. I will go to the cinema tonight. He will play tennis tomorrow. She will be happy with her exam results. They will take the bus to the South next week.

Future actions We use may / may not to talk about FUTURE ACTIONS that we are NOT SURE about.

Passive voice in the past Something was done by someone at sometime in the past. Active : The teacher corrected the mistakes. Passive: The mistakes were corrected by the teacher. Active : Did the little boy sell all the candy bars? Passive: Were all the candy bars sold by the little boy? Active : Lauren didn't eat any apples. Passive: No apples were eaten by Lauran. Active : He didn't give the wallet. Passive: The wallet wasn't given by him.
