2. - Tumbang preso is also known as Tumba lata or otherwise Bato lata . - The name of this sport is derived from the filipino words Tumba which means 'to fall' and preso , which means 'prisoner', translating to 'fallen prisoner‘.

3. HISTORY OF TUMBANG PRESO T here is no known date as to when it came to be. Neither is the creator of the game known. the children who found it fun would gather with whichever materials they had and start playing the sport . The fabulous sport has been passed from generation to generation because of fun and creativity derived from it.

4. EQUIPMENTS A TIN CAN A SLIPPER ( FOR EACH PLAYER)

5. RULES Players must have slippers. The slippers serves as the throwing objects that will be used to precisely hit the can. Every hitter must throw the slippers. If not, he or she will be the next It or taya in the next round. The It or taya will never tag a player if the can is knocked out.

6. OBJECTIVE To knock the can over To retrieve the slipper without getting tagged by the ‘ taya ’ or ‘It’. To tag the players that have to retrieve their slipper. To return the can back in place if knocked over PLAYERS: TAYA OR IT

7. PROCEDURE There are 9 players All players must stay on the starting line The one who throws their slipper farthest from the can is the ‘TAYA’ DECIDING ON WHO’S TAYA

8. MECHANICS OF THE GAME Players must stay behind the starting line when throwing slipper. If they fail to knock the can over they must retrieve their slippers and go to the end point. The ‘It’ chases the player until he reaches the end point. Unless the can is knock over. If that is the case, the ‘It’ must put the can upright before he proceed to chase the player.

9. Supposing the player is unable to retrieve his slipper, the other players can save the other plyer by hitting the can. When players run out of slippers, the game translates to a chase. Players on one side will act as bait while players on the other side will try to escape to avoid being tagged. If a player is caught. He becomes the next ‘Taya’ or ‘It’.

10. HOW TO WIN THE GAME NOT BEING TAGGED UNTIL THE GAME ENDS.
