COMMUNICATION
Downward communication is the flow of 
information and messages from a higher level 
inside an organization to a lower one.
Effective downward communication is crucial to 
an organization's success.
Creating concise communications and 
maintaining a respectful tone help ensure 
effective downward communication; making sure 
that employees clearly understand the 
information is also crucial.

UPWARD
COMMUNICATION
Upward communication  is the process
of information flowing from the lower levels of
a hierarchy to the upper levels.
This type of communication is becoming more
popular in organizations as traditional forms of
communication.
Upward contribution is the core contributor of
business process re-engineering in many
organisations.
Upward communication is widely used as part
of whistleblowing policy in many large organisations.

HORIZANTAL
COMMUNICATION
Horizontal communication is the flow of
messeges across individuals and groups on
same leval of an organizations.
Horizontal communication refers to the
interaction among people within the same
level of hierarchical structure in
organizations.
Horizontal communication also makes it
easier for people to work together on certain
activities or projects.

DIAGONAL COMMUNICATION
The sharing of information among different
structural levels within a business.
For example,diagonal communication could
involve higher leval management communicating
to lower leval management.

COMMUNICATION
Vertical communication in an organization is
communication that flows up and down through the
organization's hierarchical structure.
