Types of listening

here i have discussed about various types of listening.

4. Complementary Listening Also known as appreciative listening. We admire and accept the speaker’s piece of work like speech ,poetry , music ,play , concert ,recordings etc.

5. Active Listening Listening in a way that expresses interest, awareness in the subject is active listening.

6. Passive listening When the listener does not listen to the speaker carefully and attentively, the listening process is passive.

7. Biased Listening Person hears selectively i.e. he hears only what he wants to hear.

8. Pretentious Listening Also called fake listening or pseudo listening. Listener pretends to hear to the speaker by false gestures and expressions.
