TYPES OF NUMBERS Natural Whole Even Odd Prime Composite
NATURAL NUMBERS Numbers that start from 1,2,3,4,5…….so on are called natural numbers. “Zero” is not a natural number. So, 1 is the smallest natural number.
WHOLE NUMBERS All N atural numbers and Zero together i.e, 0,1,2,3,4,5……so on are called whole numbers. Zero is the smallest whole number.
EVEN NUMBERS A counting number which is exactly divisible by 2 is called an even number. For Example :- 0,2,4,6,8,10,12……..etc. Every unit place of an even number will be 0,2,4,6,8.
ODD NUMBERS A counting number which is not divisible by 2 is called an odd number. For Example :- 1,3,5,7,9,11……..etc. Every unit place of an odd number will be 1,3,5,7,9.
PRIME NUMBER A counting number is called a prime number when it is divisible only by “1” and itself. Numbers are :- 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47, 53, 59,61,67,71,73,79,83,89,97.
COMPOSITE NUMBERS Composite numbers are non-prime natural numbers, that can be divided evenly by numbers other than “1” and itself. Numbers are :- 4,6,8,9,10,12,14,15,16,18,20,21,22,24,25,26, 27,28,30 etc.
