•Hardwoods are usually have broad leaves and
are decidous
•Dintinguished from softwoods by the structure of
the grain
•They are generally more expensive than
softwoods as they take longer grow

•These boards often made use of waste materials
such as wood chips or dust that are held together
with glue
•They are often used as cheap alternatives to real
woods
•They don´t look as expensive as real woods
•They are often covered with a thin layer of real
wood to improve their appearance.

Wood is a natural product
obtained from the trunks
and main branches of the
trees.
To obtain wood, these steps
are followed:
•Felling or tree cutting.
•Pruning or removing
branches that are not
needed.
•Transport of logs to
sawmills.
•Sawing of logs of wood into
boards or planks.
•Wood drying.

•Paper is a thin material mainly used for
writing upon, printing upon or for
packaging. It is produced by pressing
together moist fibers, typically celulose
pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses,
and drying them into flexible sheets.
