and politics.

DAY 1
INTRODUCTION


The teacher will start the class with Before and After Activity
The students will write their thoughts about Culture, Society and Politics. They will be encouraged to write any of their thoughts, and make sure
that this activity is not graded and there will be no wrong answer. 2-3 students will be picked to share their thoughts in front of the class. After,
papers will be collected and sealed in brown envelope.


Follow up the activity by formally opening the topic with the learning competency.
1. articulate observations on human cultural variation, social differences, social change, and political identities.
2. demonstrate curiosity and an openness to explore the origins and dynamics of culture and society, and political identities.

In this activity, students in diad form will share their family culture in terms of values, beliefs, traditions, religion, behavior, ethnicity, and class.
After the time allotment, some students will be called to share their insights in the big group.

 Observations about Social Political Cultural Behavior and Phenomena







Hess (1991) states that we all have our different institutional spheres. It might be social structure, cultural system and political
structure and economic system. But the content, the specific details of the institutional spheres, and the ways in which these traits are
linked together will be different from one society to another, shaped by our own geography and history. Our astonishing variety of
customs, beliefs, and artifacts that human have devised to meet universal needs.

 Activity: “Past Vs. Present” (Changes in Technology)

In this activity students will be group into five. The teacher will distribute set of pictures of past and present technology. Members
of the group will discuss the similarities and differences of each set of pictures. They will be guided with the following questions:

1. How do these technologies make an impact to human and society?
2. Do you think these changes in technology create changes in society?
3. How does it affect culture?

























After sharing each group will be asked to report their insights.

Guide Questions:

1. What can you say about our politics?
2. Do you think political dynasty really change the political run in our society?

With the different changes in our society today, culture had been changed too. Beliefs, customs, traditions and even religion are in constant
change. Therefore, new face of society is formed.

If you want to see changes in your own community, what do you think are the necessary steps that you need to do in orders to start or create a
change. You may express your thoughts in making an E-poster.
