Frequently Asked Question - 1
Q: Where do I set up users on additional Workspaces once my Marketo Engage subscription is on
Adobe Identity Management System (IMS)?
A: Marketo Engage. When a user is added to a Marketo Engage subscription as a Standard User on
Admin Console, the default workspace will be assigned. Assigning users to additional workspaces can
be done in ‘Admin > Edit User’ if multiple workspaces are set up in your subscription.

Frequently Asked Questions - 2
Q: I am a Marketo Engage Admin. Can I remove an Adobe Product Admin in ‘Admin > Users & Roles’?

Engage. Adobe System Admins can remove the Adobe Product Admin role from a user who should no
longer hold this role on the Admin Console.

Frequently Asked Questions - 3
Q: I have a new hire on my Marketing Operation team. This person is not expected to manage user
access in Adobe Admin Console. Which user and role will best apply?
A: You can add this person as a Standard User on Admin Console. If this person is expected to
perform administrative tasks as a Marketo Engage Admin, you can grant him/her an admin role in the
product: ‘Admin > Users & Roles > Edit User.’

Frequently Asked Questions - 4
Q: Do you mark the entire subscription as migrated or is that done on a user-by-user basis in a self-
service mode?
A: In Self-Service, all users must either be migrated or skipped to "complete" user migration of the
individual subscription.

Frequently Asked Questions - 5
Q: Does an SSO user also need to go through the email verification process?
A: Yes. All users except API-only users need to verify their email. Please reference this product
documentation for details.

Frequently Asked Questions - 6
Q: My organization purchased additional sandboxes. Are sandboxes also getting migrated? Is sandbox
migrated before or after Production? Do I modify the migration start date for each or all
subscriptions?
A: Yes, production and sandbox subscriptions are all being migrated to Adobe Identity.
As general rules, Adobe will schedule multiple Marketo Engage subscriptions in the same Adobe Org
with the same default migration start date. However, there may be exceptions to this due to multiple
contract end dates associated to them and other reasons.
You can modify the migration start date for each subscription in the Pre-Migration tab of the
migration console to align with your organization’s needs. Each subscription has its own pre-
migration console in the subscription’s Admin area.

Frequently Asked Questions - 7
Q: Do all Marketo Engage Users have an Adobe ID to be migrated? Do Admins need to check if all
users already have an Adobe ID? If they don’t, does an Adobe ID need to be created for these users
before usermigration?
A: Marketo Engage users may or may not already have Adobe IDs prior to their user migration. It
would depend if these individuals use other Adobe products. Marketo Engage users are not using
Adobe IDs to access Marketo until after their user migration is complete.
During user migration, Adobe IDs will be created for migrating Marketo Engage users if they don’t
have one already.

© 2024 Adobe. All Rights Reserved. Adobe Confidential.
Frequently Asked Questions - 8
Q: If we have two or more Marketo Engage Admins, can we choose who is the Primary Adobe Admin
Console Product Admin to lead the project internally?
A: There is no distinction between Adobe Admin Console Product Admins to indicate their "primary”
role. Your organization can determine who they would like to drive the migration.

© 2024 Adobe. All Rights Reserved. Adobe Confidential.
Frequently Asked Questions - 9
Q: Where do deactivated users go? Their email is not verified. Do they get migrated to the new
console?
A: Deactivated users, as well as active users who have not verified their email addresses will not
migrate to Adobe Identity and Admin Console.

Frequently Asked Questions - 10
Q: What happens to the support on the Marketo Engage community when user migration is
happening?
A: No changes. Users who are Authorized Support Contact(s) can still file and view a case via the
Support Portal on Marketo Engage Community during user migration. Migration to the new support
portal occurs after all Marketo Engage subscriptions in an Adobe Org are migrated. Authorized
Support Contacts will be redirected from the existing support portal to the new support portal when
it becomes available.
