QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DATA
In the study of Belmonte et al. (2019), among 40 respondents, it was found that the majority tend to play games for 1-2 hours and 3-4 hours. QUANTITATIVE DATA
The study of Mantero et al. (2020), Auzmendi’s scale of attitudes toward mathematics was used. It was originally validated on a sample of 1221 students and consists of 25 questions on a Likert scale, with 15 affirmative and 10 negative statements that allow the following scoring options: Strongly disagree = 1, Disagree = 2, Neutral (Neither agree nor disagree) = 3, Agree = 4, and Strongly agree = 5 . QUANTITATIVE DATA
Five informants were purposely selected through selection criteria. Some students experience barriers especially doing online classes in their own homes; such as noise, doing chores, and lack of motivation. ( Locion et al. 2022) QUALITATIVE DATA
In the study of Peneda (2019), the top five (5) pupils in the high performing group and five (5) pupils in the low performing group were selected. As a result, six major themes were derived from the findings after data analysis was conducted, namely: Self-Driven Activities in Learning, Challenges in Learning, Styles in Learning, References used in Learning, Scaffolds in Learning and Coping Mechanisms in Learning. QUALITATIVE DATA
FOUR LEVELS OF MEASUREMENT NOMINAL ORDINAL INTERVAL RATIO Numerical Categorical
FOUR LEVELS OF MEASUREMENT NOMINAL Gender M-Male F-Female Example: Types of Electric Consumption 1-Residential 2- Commercial 3-Indutrial 4-Government Marital Status Single married divorced widowed categorized but not ranked or measured in specific order.
FOUR LEVELS OF MEASUREMENT ORDINAL Categories with a specific , meaningful order Economic Class Low-income class Middle-income class High-income class Example: Level of Satisfaction Very Satisfied Satisfied Unsatisfied Very Unsatisfied
FOUR LEVELS OF MEASUREMENT INTERVAL order, and the differences between values are meaningful and consistent Temperature 20°C 30°C 40°C Example: Time of day 1:00 pm 2:00 pm 3:00 pm
FOUR LEVELS OF MEASUREMENT RATIO Example: Order, and the difference can be described. It has true zero. Height (5ft. 8in., 5ft. 9in., 5ft. 10in., 5ft. 11in., 6ft. 0in. etc.) Distance (from zero miles/km upwards)
