Applications of UPFC/IPFC Technology AC Transmission System BY IPFC The IPFC is the latest controller in facts family which control the flow of power in multiline, But the other controller can control the flow of power in only one line. As it is connected in series, so it lies in the category of series controllers while other devices are shunt connected devices. The IPFC is fabricated to transfer the power from highly loaded lines to lightly loaded lines. This controller comprises of many inverters. The IPFC [16] consists of two or more SSSC (static synchronous series compensator). Converters are interconnected through a storage capacitor. In the IPFC (interline power flow controller), the power in the selected Transmission line by the converter. [19]

Applications of UPFC/IPFC Technology Damping Control by Active Power Modulation In the studied scenario, UPFC is used to provide damping effect when the system experiences oscillation mode.The damping effect is prominent at the electrical proximity of UPFC to the oscillating generator. Applications of UPFC/IPFC Technology UPFC enhances the power transfer capability of transmission lines through series compensation , voltage regulation, reactive power control, and precise powerflow control. These capabilities allow for efficient utilization of transmission infrastructure, minimizing losses , maximizing power transfer capacity, and improving overall system performance.
