About Us
A UV spectrophotometer is used to determine the
absorption of light from a sample and can be used
as a detector for HPLC. A sample is placed in the
UV/VIS beam and absorbance versus wavelength is
measured. A double beam spectrophotometer
utilizes two beams of light: a reference beam and a
sampling beam that passes through the sample.
Some Double Beam UV spectrophotometer have
two detectors that allow the two beams to be
measured at one time.

Device
This device employs two
light beams, thus the
name “double beam”
spectrophotometer
Reference beam: To measure lamp
energy, this beam passes through the
reference standard.
Sample beam: To reflect sample to
reflect sample absorption.

Effective
Analysis
For effective analysis of the diverse
biological specimens, the double beam
UV/visible spectrophotometer is used.
Measurements of samples are also
performed using the electromagnetic
spectrum. The processes of dispersion,
reflection, and refraction all occur in
spectrophotometry instruments, which
further aids in the taking of analytical
data.
