Condition :Post partum uterine prolapse
Eversion of uterus which turns inside out as it passes through vagina
Occurs immediately after parturition

•Animal : Goat
•Species : Caprine
•Breed : Malabari
•Age : 3 years
•Sex : Female
•Parity : 3
•Body wt. : 32 kg
•Past history : kidding was normal & 2 kids were alive

Uterus along with bladder -complete prolapse
Visible caruncles
Uterine tissue was healthy
Temperature :38.05ºC
Pulse :100/min
Respiration :32/min
Mucous membrane :congested
Rumen motility :1/min

Epidural anaesthesia with 2% lignocaine

Replacement of uterine mass
with digital pressure exerted at the base

Buhner’s suture

INTACEF CEFTRIAXONE 15-25mg/Kg 5ml i/v
CALCIUM SANDOZ CALCIUM
GLUCONATE
5-10ml 10mli/v
PITOCIN OXYTOCIN 30-50 IU 1mli/m
CLEANEX INTRAUTERINE
PREPARATION
1-2BOLUS 2 bolusi/u
SUPPORTIVE THERAPY

RESULT
The uterus is completely & fully replaced all the way to the tip of the horn
Followed by the methods to keep it in retained position
