2. Introduction Vehicle Insurance & PUC Detection System (VIPDS) VIPDS is an automated software system designed to monitor the renewal of insurance and PUC (Pollution Under Control) certification for vehicles on the road.

3. Why VIPDS ? The most important documents that every vehicle owner should carry are: As of 2023, India is the 3rd   largest automobile market in the world in terms of sales. It is the largest manufacturer of three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and tractors, and the second-largest manufacturer of two-wheelers. As per the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 , no person can drive a vehicle without proper insurance and valid PUC certificate. But as per data, in 2019, 57% of Now, manual checking of all the the vehicles in India were documents is a very cumbersome and uninsured & nearly the same difficult task to do for the officials, so amount of vehicles were without PUC certificate. VIPDS can ease this task and can help to catch the law breakers with minimum efforts.

5. Problem Statement & Proposed Solution Problem Statement:  Real-time monitoring of vehicle insurance & PUC certification renewal & detection of uninsured &/ non-PUC holders. Proposed Solution:   Development & installation of an automated software system to give timely intimations, reminders to the vehicle owners regarding expiry of insurance & PUC certification & ensure effortless monitoring of non-compliant vehicle owners on the road.

6. Real-time Monitoring: VIPDS continuously monitors the insurance and PUC status of vehicles on the road, ensuring compliance with regulations. Automated Notification: The system sends notifications to both th Regional Transport Of (RTO) and vehicle own to ensure timely renew and compliance. System Overview VIPDS is an automated software system that ensures real-time monitoring of vehicle insurance & PUC certification status, providing timely intimations, reminders & penalties and curb uninsured &/ non-PUC holder vehicles. Centralized Database: VIPDS maintains a centralized database of vehicle information, The VIPDS system helps in detecting the non-compliant vehicle owners as well as certain fraudsters with ease. insurance status, and PUC certification, providing easy access for monitoring and enforcement.

Intimation to vehicle owner, Notice & Challan Imposition Notice & Challan Imposition: Process overview VIPDS system identifies non-compliant  vehicle owners whose insurance or PUC certification is expired. The system generates a notice and sends it to the vehicle owner, informing them about the expiration and the need for renewal. If the vehicle owner fails to renew within   the specified due date, the system   imposes a challan or fine on the owner. Intimation to vehicle owner: VIPDS system sends reminders to vehicle owners for insurance and PUC renewals . Reminders are sent to registered mobile numbers and email IDs.

9. Penalizing the non- compliant vehicle owners VIPDS system penalizes non-compliant vehicle owners to ensure adherence to insurance and PUC certification requirements. Non-compliant owners receive notifications and challans from the RTO (Regional Transport Office). Ignoring notices and challans can lead to legal consequences and penalties.

10. Enhanced Compliance: VIPDS improves compliance with insurance and PUC regulations, ensuring safer and environmentally-friendly vehicles on the road. Efficient Enforcement: The system streamlines enforcement efforts by automating the monitoring and notification process, reducing manual intervention and paperwork.
