Verb Tenses

3 types of verb tenses
Past
Present
Future

The verb form you use to talk about
things that happened in the past.
PAst tense
Example: I joined the pageant.
Simple past tense of regular verb
is formed by adding “ed”

The verb form you use when you talk
about what’s happening right now.
present tense
Simple present tense is formed by using the root
form or by adding “s or es” to the end
Example: She runs in the park

The verb form you use to talk about
things thatb haven’t happened yet.
Future tense
Simple future tense is formed by using the
auxiliary verb “will” or “shall” before the base
form of the verb.
Example: He will travel to paris next week

“Memories in Motion”
In a small town, Sarah walked to the park yesterday. She enjoys the
serene atmosphere and sit on a bench, watching children play. Suddenly,
a dog runs towards her, wagging its tail. Sarah pets the friendly dog and
laughs. Today, she walks to the park again, feeling content. As she strolls,
she notices a sign for a future event a summer fair. Sarah imagines the
fun she will have, trying delicious food and playing games. Tomorrow, she
will invite her friends to join her. Sarah looks forward to creating new
memories and cherishing moments in the future.
