Once you have clicked on something you shouldn't have, you have opened a door for cybercriminals to invade your computer. this could lead to them installing malware on your device, watching your keystrokes through a keylogger, or gaining access to your passwords and accounts .

Digital citizenship includes knowledge, skills and practices to engage safely and responsibly in a digital environment. this is considered an important skill for students to protect them from harmful content, cyberbullying, privacy risks, scams, viruses and more.

A Person Who Develops The Skills And Knowledge To Effectively Use The Internet And Other Digital Technology, Especially In Order To Participate Responsibly In Social And Civic Activities .

W e use digital media every day, from texting, streaming tv shows, and gaming all the way to using voice assistants or ordering our food online.

When we consider that essentially everyone with an internet connection is a digital citizen, the concept of digital citizenship becomes a critical part of our lives. No matter what age a person is, knowing how to stay safe, respect others, and participate meaningfully in our digital society becomes a necessity.

BYSTANDER A bystander is a person who is present when something happens and who sees it but does not take part in it.

UPSTANDER A person who speaks or acts in support of an individual or cause, particularly someone who intervenes on behalf of a person being attacked or bullied.

PHISHING Phishing is a form of social engineering and scam where attackers deceive people into revealing sensitive information or installing malware such as ransomware.

MALICIOUS Malicious is the adjective based on the noun malice, which means the desire to harm others. Both words come from the Latin word malus, for bad. If someone is malicious he doesn't just make bad things happen; he loves to make bad things happen.
