6. AGENDA I . Review of the previous VMC meeting . Appointment of Contractual teachers against clear vacancy. Tender process completed and services are being taken as per KVS norms. Speed Breakers were built up in front of the main gate on the NH 50 due to efforts of Hon’ble Chairman VMC. Requirements are to be taken up with the chairman VMC under DMFT fund.

7. 2. Academics: Pre-Board Examination for Class –X First Pre-Board for Class –X completed and remedial classes were taken during winter break from 25.12.2023 to 03.01.2024 for improvement of results. Second Pre Board started from 04.01.2024. Session ending Local exams for Class I to IX for the year 2023-24 Will start from 23rd February, 2024. For Class – X board exams will starts from 19th February, 2024.

(I ) As per NEP 2020, 2 nd Batch of Class I students are admitted with 6 years of completion as on 31st March 2023 (II) 87 Online -Admissions are done in Class I (III) 19 Candidates are admitted in Class XI (Science Stream) Senior Secondary (IV) 22 Admissions are done on KVTC (V) Total Admissions for this year -- 152 Admissions for the wards of employees Cat 1 – 4, who have been recently Transferred during the present academic year after registration process is over as per Part A para 5 of KVS Admission Guidelines 2023-23 - 04 20 schools in the Region have been sanctioned Balavatika-1 under NEP 2020 in the 1 st Phase. Our school may be sanctioned in the 2 nd Phase. Children would be admitted in Balavatika-1 after completion of 3 years as on 31 st March. 2.ADMISSIONS FOR THE YEAR 2023-24

11. 3.CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 2023-24 Periodic Test-1 was conducted in the 3rd Week of July 2023 and Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM) were organized to discuss the progress of the students TERM-I (April to September) syllabus will be covered as per the split-up syllabus of KVS. Half Yearly Exams Classes III to VIII, PT-2 for Class IX & X & PT-2 for Class XI & Monthly Test for Class XII will be conducted in the month of September/October 2023. Half Yearly Examination Results will be declared in the second week of October 2023. Extra Classes and remedial coaching for Class X & XII on Holidays and after School hours are being taken. Autumn Break from 20.10.2023 to 29.10.2023 (10 days)

12. 4. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (CCA)   KVS calendar of activities is being organized in the Vidyalaya as per schedule given by KVS RO. Inter House Competitions are being conducted. Various Co-Curricular activities like Calligraphy, Debate, Singing, Dance etc. on every Friday for Primary students and Saturday for Secondary students throughout the Academic Year. Winners will be awarded Prizes and Certificates in the Annual Day Celebrations. Students Council has been constituted on 05/08/2023. Important Days are celebrated in the Vidyalaya with great fervor International Yoga Day is Celebrated on 21 st June 2023. Every Wednesday Yoga class is conducted in the Vidyalaya .

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Various Inter House Competitions are being organized in the Sports & Games at the Vidyalaya level Sports Summer Camp was organized at Vidyalaya Level from 09/06/2023 to 20/06/2023 Our students participated in Kabbadi and Cricket Under 17 Boys at the Regional Sports Meet 2023 held in the month of July. 2 nd Position in Cricket at the Regional Level. 3 players of our Vidyalaya are selected for KVS National Sports Meet. Annual Sports Day conducted in the 3 rd Week of November 2023.

Motivating and Preparing the students to participate in various competitions conducted by the outside agencies like NTSE, IOQM, GREEEN OLYMPIAD, CYBER OLYMPIAD, SCIENCE OLYMPIAD and INSPIRE AWARDS . Our students participate in various competitions conducted under EBSB ( Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat), JNNSME/RBVP2023 ( Rashtriya Bala Vaigyanik Prasdarshini )

17. 6.SCOUTS & GUIDES AND NCC No. of students enrolled :118 No. of Scouts : 30 No.of Guides:28 No. of Cubs: 30 No. of Bulbuls: 30 3 trained cub masters are conducting the activities on every Saturday. Our Vidyalaya has got NCC troop : strength 50 cadets Junior Division (JD) for boys – 32 cadets Junior Wing (JW) for girls -- 18 cadets Students of class 8 were selected on 01/07/2023 by Officials from 34 KAR BN NCC Ballari. Parades are being conducted weekly by the officials of Battalion. Cadet Avani Gangavathi of our Vidyalaya participated in Republic Day Camp 2023 at New Delhi. T/O Rajashekar G Trained Officer and ANO is Assisting in conducting the NCC Activities. 18 Cadets are going to appear for ‘A’ Certificate Exam on 4 th Feb 2024

20. 8.AVAILABILITY OF INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE VIDYALAYA 84 Computers with High Speed Broadband including WI-FI connectivity 2 Computer Labs : Senior Computer Lab : 26 Junior Computer Lab – 25 10 e-Classrooms/ Smart Board Classes 01 Digital language Lab with 30 Systems Atal Tinkering Lab 40 Chrome Books for teachers to conduct Online Classes / PTMs 3 Labs (Chemistry, Physics & Biology) Library with e- Granthalaya & 5000+ Books 01 Multi-Purpose Hall for conducting Parent Teacher Meeting / Cultural activities. Separate Assembly grounds for Primary and Secondary Sections Spacious Play Ground ( Appx . 3 acres) with Basket Ball, Foot Ball, Hand Ball, Badminton Court, 200 mts track, 2 Kho-Kho court & Kabbadi court. All Classrooms are well equipped with Green Chalk Boards & Furniture 08 Apple iPads with wireless projectors are installed in 8 Classrooms for Effective Teaching Learning Process Primary Children park with play equipments is operational.

21. 9.NEEDS OF THE VIDYALAYA   Main Gate: Height of the pillars may be raised with arch for name plate.   Providing Color / White wash of the School Building Providing Paver Block Flooring for Primary assembly area for conducting morning assembly Providing Heavy duty Xerox Machine Leveling of playground with red soil and developing of 200 mtr Running track Leather Ball cricket pitch and net practice pitch   Hon’ble Chairman is requested to kindly provide /sanction the above facilities for smooth and effective functioning of the Vidyalaya. Request letter is submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, Ballari & Chairman, VMC K.V. Ballari

26. 10.TEACHING KANNADA LANGUAGE The students and parents are extremely happy and thankful to our Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Ballari & Chairman for deputing one Kannada Teacher i.e. Mrs.Mallamma Patil.Teaching Kannada for class VI to X is being provided.Kannada Teacher is also conducting Tests & Exams to Evaluate the students Kannada Learning. It is noticed that students are doing well in the Kannada Language. Smt.Mallamma Patil, Kannada teacher deputed by the DDPI has been transferred and relieved in the month of July 2023 Hon’ble Chairman is requested to kindly depute 1 Kannada Teacher to our Vidyalaya as there is no sanction post in the KVS.

28. 12.DISPOSAL OF BROKEN/RUSTED FENCING IRON MATERIAL OF COMPOUND WALL At the time of raising the height of the compound wall(2021-22),fencing material provided by CPWD to cover protect the entry of outsiders was removed and lying in the school campus occupying the space. The fencing material is being rusted The Chairman VMC may kindly permit the 4 members committee consisting of Project Director,Nirmithi Kendra,Ballari & VMC technical Member,Shri.Channappa Gouda Civil Engineer/VMC Parent Member & Shri,.Rajshekar G PRT,Furniture In charge and Principal K.V.Ballari to dispose the Fencing material through auction.

32. Constitution of Vidyalaya Management Committee. KVS shall constitute Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) for every Vidyalaya for its general supervision & day-to-day management, in accordance with the rules approved and directions issued from time to time. The composition of VMC shall be as under in the Civil Sector School. Chairman- DC/DM of the District Members –One member Nominated by the Chairman VMC out of the Grade-A Central Govt Employees at the Station(Nominee Chairman) Two Eminent Educationists. An Eminent person of the area none for outstanding work in the field of Culture. Two Parents of the Children studying in the KV. One of them should be a woman. An Eminent Medical Doctor. Representative of SC/ST. A Teacher Representative. Principal of KV as Member Secretary. Co-opted Member. Chairman CGEWCC. Technical Member at least not below the rank of EE(Executive Engineer) NOTE: VMC shall meet whenever required by its Chairman. It should meet at least 3 times in a year ordinarily in the school premises . These meetings should be in the first week of August ,first week of December & first week of February.
