Know Your Fish
Which one is the Sturgeon?
Sturgeon and Caviar
The Sturgeon makes black caviar, and black
caviar sells for $7k per kilo and the
Sturgeon also sells for around that price
but the weird thing is that it tastes
disgusting.
Black Caviar
actually tastes
fine.
Cities
The Volga passes 11 of 20 major cities in
Russia, the nicest city is Yaroslavl which is
a city that is 1000 years old!
A Polluted River
The Volga has tons and tons of garbage in
the water. Mostly factories dump rubbish
into the poor river.
Distance
The Volga is 2,300 miles but what is
interesting is that it is so wide that you dont
see the other side.
Bridges
The Volga also passes lots of bridges so
many that I could not find out how many
bridges there were. The most popular
bridge is the Volograd bridge, the bridge
was built only recently
Finally the Name
The name Volga comes from a Slavic word
meaning 'wetness or moisture' because
this is one big river.
