Wallpaper
Wallpaper Wallpaper is a material used in interior decoration to decorate the interior walls of domestic and public buildings. It is usually sold in rolls and is applied onto a wall using wallpaper paste.
3D WALLPAPER A three-dimensional wallpaper is the modern solution to designing a wall. 3D wallpaper is something that enhances the illusion of depth perception, hence adding a third dimension to give a 3D effect to your walls .
Types of Wallpaper Liner Wallpaper : This type of wallpaper is made from paper or fiberglass. Printed Wallpaper : This type is commonly used and available in wide variety of colors and patterns. The printing ink is water-based, so its better not be use in kitchens and bathroom. Vinyl Wallpaper : This type of wallpaper is composed printed paper coated with a layer vinyl. It can be use in bathrooms and kitchen. Foil Wallpaper : A polished metal foil is used as base for this type to give the interior space a shiny metallic effect.
Bamboo Wallpaper : This type is handcrafted from bamboo and glued to paper. It is environmentally friendly.
Paints
Introduction Paints are the coating of fluid material and they are applied over the surface of timber, metals and wall. Paint is a liquid composition after application it is convert into a solid film.
Composition of Paint Pigment: To provide colour,hiding and control gloss. Resin: To hold the pigment particles together and provide adhesion to painted surface. Solvent : To act as carrier for pigments and resin. Addictives: To enhance properties such as ease of brushing ,mould resistance, scuff resistance, drying and sag resistance.
Classification of Paints 1. Water Based 2. Oil Based It’s a mixer of binder, drier pigments, and mainly water. The majority of wall paint is water based. Only water id added before its application process. Water based paints takes less time to dry. Oil based paint is more durable but takes time to dry. They are more durable but changes original colour after a few years. It can be used on walls,cellings, doors etc. Usually when used on iron a red oxide coat is applied.
Characteristics of Ideal Paint When applied to the surface, paint should form a thin film of uniform nature. It should have an attractive and pleasuring appearance. It should easily be applicable with brush or spraying devices. It should be elastic i.e. should resist various changes like temperatue,weather etc. It should possess good spreading or covering power. The surface of paint should not show cracks after drying.
Defects in Painting Blooming: Formation of dull patches on the painted surface is known as blooming. The primary cause of this defect is poor quality of paint and improper ventilation. Fading: When there is a gradual loss of colour from the pained surface, it is known as fading. The main cause of this defect is the reaction of sunlight on pigments of paint. Flashing: Presence of glossy patches on the painted surface is known as flashing. The cause of this defect is mainly due to poor workmanship, cheap paint or weather actions. Sagging: This type of defect is more prominent when a thick layer of paint is applied on a vertical or inclined surface.
Grinning: If the thickness of the final coat of paint becomes very thin, the background can be seen clearly. This is known as grinning. Poor workmanship is the main cause of this defect. Running: This type of defect is seen when the surface to be painted is very smooth. In case of smooth surface the paint runs back and leaves small areas of surface uncovered. Wrinkling: This type of defect is more prominent when a thick layer of paint is applied on a horizontal surface.

Introduction Tile is a manufactured piece of hard-wearing material such as ceramic, stone, metal, baked clay, or even glass, generally used for covering roofs, floors, walls, or other objects such as tabletops. Tiles are often used to form wall and floor coverings, and can range from simple square tiles to complex or mosaics.
Types of Tiles Vitrified Tiles - Vitrified tile is a tile produced using verification. By this process the tiles created have very low porosity. making it stain-resistant and strong. Ceramic tiles - a tile made from clay that has been permanently hardened by heat, often having a decorative glaze. Porcelain Tiles- these tiles are similar to ceramic tiles but are much stronger. Mosaic Tiles -Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials . Digital printed tiles- Printing techniques and digital manipulation of art and photography are used in what is known as "custom tile printing".
