WAYS TO PREVENT POLLUTION Made By NIKUNJ K. NALIYADHARA ( B.Tech 2 nd year) College Of Food Processing Technology & Bio-Energy, Anand Agricultural University,Anand

W hat is Pollution? Pollution referred as any harmful change in the environment due to human activities.

Types of Pollution Air Pollution When chemicals and other substances are released into the atmosphere, the result is air pollution.

Water Pollution Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifier and groundwater) due to the waste( e.g solids, liquid ).

Soil Pollution Soil contamination is caused by the presence of human made chemicals .it is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of water.

Radioactive Pollution Radioactive pollution is define as the release of radioactive substance or high energy particals into the air.

There are some other types of pollution like, Light Pollution Noise Pollution Thermal Pollution Visual Pollution

How to Prevent Pollution Conservation : Saving energy and modifying wasteful habits is a great way to prevent pollution.

Pollution Prevention Program Every state possesses their own set of prevention programs geared towards lessening the damaging effects of pollution on a local and statewide level, like india have central pollution control board under ,environment and forest ministry

Alternative Transportation The need of vehical is increasing it’s cause more pollution so alternative transportation is a good option to prevent pollution it can be possible by carpooling, utilizing public transportation, purchasing eco-friendly cars

Waste Reduction The minimization of waste helps to prevent the growth of the worldwide pollution problem.

3-R’s Rule Three R stands for : Reduce,Reuse and Recycle. Thiis rule is part of the waste hierarchy which is a process used to protect the environment and conserve resources through a priority approch

Rain Water Harvesting To conserve natural resources, set out a barrel during a heavy rain to collect water that later serves the purpose of watering the garden and other plants.

Use of Renewable Energy Renewable Energy is the pollution free energy like solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy. Kenya is a country which have a major of it’s energy sources is a renewable energy sources
