Sacrificial Giving Philippians 2:5-11

Jesus provides us with the greatest example of sacrificial giving and calls us to be like Him!

Jesus’ Parabolic Journey Jesus’ Preeminence Jesus’ Condescension Jesus’ Exaltation

First Point The Example from Jesus’ Preeminence

Verse 6 (Strophe 1) Who being in the form of God, He did not feel he had to seize for himself Equality with God

Second Point The Example from Jesus’ Condescension

Verse 7 (Strophe 2) But he emptied himself Taking on the form of a slave Being made in the likeness of humankind

Verse 8 (Strophe 3) And being found in appearance as a man He humbled himself, Becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.

Third Point The Example from Jesus’ Exaltation

Verse 9 (Strophe 4) Therefore, God highly exalted him And gave him that name Which is above every name.

Verse 10 (Strophe 5) So that at the name of Jesus Every knee should bow In heaven and on earth and under the earth

Verse 11 (Strophe 6) And every tongue confess That Jesus Christ is Lord To the glory of God the Father.
