What do you know about Web 1.0 , Web 2.0, Web 3.0 and What is the present and future ." — SUA/ C4 There are even some pundits who speculate that Web 4.0 will be the ultimate step in Web evolution, with users accessing the Web via physical implants! Depending on your sensibilities, that is either a very cool idea or an absolute dystopian nightmare!

OUTLINE INTRODUCTION WEB 2 WEB 1 WEB 3

INTRODUCTION Before describing web we need to understand one thing very clearly World Wide Web ≠ Internet Service We must remember that both are not the same Web is different from Internet

World Wide Web The world wide web is a larger collection of interconnected Documents or Contents It facilitates communication between people and also computers

INTERNET The Internet is the collection of interconnected computer Networks.

WORLD WIDE WEB Applications are communicating with each other more and more over the WWW. It changed from being a network of documents to a web of data. Stages of the internet's development are described by the semantic wave. (web 2.0, web 3.0, and 1.0)

WEB 1.0 The first version of web (Web 1.0) also referred to as Syntactic web or read only web in the era(1990–2000). The role of a user is limited to reading information provided by the content producers. There is no option given for user or consumer to communicate back the information to the content producers. Example of Web 1.0 are static web sites and personal sites.

W E 1 B It’s made up of static pages connected to a system via hyperlinks It has HTML 3.2 elements like frames and tables HTML forms get sent through e-mail The content comes from the server's filesystem, not a relational database management system It features GIF buttons and graphics Characteristics

The Web 2.0 also referred as Social Web or read-write web in the era(2000–2010 and continues even now) In this era every user can be a content producer and content is distributed and shared between sites. Some of the famous Web 2.0 applications are Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter etc. It uses web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks like ReactJs , AngularJs , VueJs etc. WEB 2.0

W E 2 B It offers free information sorting, allowing users to retrieve and classify data collectively It contains dynamic content that responds to the user’s input It employs Developed Application Programming Interfaces (API) It encourages self-usage and allows forms of interaction like: Podcasting Social media Tagging Blogging Commenting Curating with RSS Characteristics

The Web 3.0 also referred as Semantic Web or read-write-execute in the era(2010 and above) which refers to the future of web. In this era computers can interpret information like humans via Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Which help to intelligently generate and distribute useful content tailored to a particular need of a user. WEB 3.0

W E 3 B It's a semantic web, where the web technology evolves into a tool that lets users create, share, and connect content via search and analysis. It incorporates Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It presents the connectivity of multiple devices and applications through the Internet of Things (IoT). It uses 3-D graphics. In fact, we already see this in computer games, virtual tours, and e-commerce. Characteristics

4.0 FUTURE WEB There are even some pundits who speculate that Web 4.0 will be the ultimate step in Web evolution, with users accessing the Web via physical implants! Depending on your sensibilities, that is either a very cool idea or an absolute dystopian nightmare!
