I.OBJECTIVES
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content
and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
Content StandardsThe learners demonstrate an understanding of scientific ways of acquiring knowledge and solving problems.
Performance StandardsThe learners shall be able to: perform in groups in guided investigations involving communitybased problems using locally available materials

II.CONTENT
Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.

List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as
well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

IV.PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative
assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, draw conclusions about what they learned in
relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs that
express the following: possibility,
probability, instructions and requests,
suggestions, offers, necessity,
uncertainty, permission, obligation, or
ability.
• Certainty/Obligation:
She must remain standing while singing
the Philippine Anthem.
We must respect our Philippine flag all
the time.
Possibility
• Shiela might begin to learn different
dialects soon.
• We could promote our Philippine
tourist spots by vlogging.

• May I ask something from you?
• Can we go to another place?

Nouns are words that name persons,
places, ideas, things, or animals.
Adverbs quality or modify an adjective,
verb, or another adverb. These give
descriptions of how, where, in what
manner, when, or to what extent an
action is performed.

Types of Adverb
Adverb of Manner
This explains how an action happens.
Commonly, it is placed after the main
verb or after the object.
Danny carefully handed the
medicine to his grandparents.
The doctor speaks softly and
respectfully to his patients.
Adverb of Place
This tells where an action took place.
Adverbs of place modifies the main
verb.
Sheena needs to put the clean-up
drive campaign outside.
Here, students with special
capabilities are given equal
chance to learn.
Note: Adverbs of place functions as a
preposition when it is followed by a
noun.
Adverb of Frequency •

It describes how often or how frequent
something happens.
We participate in cultural fest
annually.
Our family goes to church every
Sunday.
Adverb of Time
It tells about the time something
occurs. Yesterday, John cleaned
the house.
 Next month, we will join the
immersion in a remote area.
Adverb of Degree
It determines the degree or intensity of
an action.
• She almost missed meeting the
religious group.
• Dra. Jewel is very proud to be part of
an ethnic group.
