2. What is Pathfinders Camporee? Camporees are a special Pathfinder event that provides a great opportunity for fun, enjoyment, and great memories. Camporee is a regional gathering of pathfinders for a period of camping and common activities. The camporees are the biggest events of interaction between Pathfinder clubs around our Division.

3. In August 13-19, 2023 the Youth Ministries of West-Central Africa Division will be hosting a camporee for all the Pathfinder clubs in WAD. The Camporee will take place in Accra, Ghana at Valley View University campus.

4. The Division wide Pathfinder Camporee is held every 5 years. We are expecting a minimum of 6000 Pathfinders from the 22 countries come to play, share, learn and worship together. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime; given to strengthen our young people’s relationship with God.

5. CAMPOREE THEME This camporee is dubbed: DREAM PATHFINDER CAMPOREE! The theme is based on the story of Joseph in the Bible.  

6. Joseph from his birth and infancy, through his youthful and young adult age, to his old age, and even on his death bed, his story teaches a lot of lessons that is very instrumental for the edification, correction, instruction and inspiration of the contemporary Pathfinder and Youth.

7. In the middle of all those lessons that his life and story teach is a central theme, Dream - in his father's house, in prison, in Potiphar’s/Pharaoh’s house...

8. CAMPOREE REGISTRATION FEE The local organizing committee and WAD Youth department upon series of meetings have agreed to charge a registration fee of 70.00 USD. The registration fee includes feeding and accommodation, excursion, and camporee souvenirs.

9. But upon further reflection and considering the post Covid-19 hardship, the global economic recession, and the transportation cost fly to Ghana, and upon the assurance of WAD Administration to support the fee is reduced to 45.00 USD to allow many of our Pathfinders to participate and benefit.

18. SPECIAL APPEAL I humbly appeal to our union administrations to support our Pathfinders by absorbing part of the registration fee and support in their transportation charges. I look forward to receiving our Pathfinders from all the 22 countries within our territories. We pledge to put up an excellent camporee for our Pathfinders and their counselors to enjoy to the glory of God. Amen.
