What is Essential Thrombocythemia and it's symptoms

Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is a rare type of chronic blood disorder that causes the bone marrow to produce too many platelets (thrombocytes), which are the blood cells responsible for clotting. Normally, platelets help stop bleeding by forming clots, but in ET, the overproduction can lead to abnormal blood clotting or, paradoxically, excessive bleeding.
