What Is Induction Furnace?
Induction furnace is a kind of power supply device that converts the
power frequency of 50 Hz AC into intermediate frequency (300 Hz to
1000 Hz). It converts the three-phase power frequency AC into direct
current after rectification, and then converts the direct current into
adjustable intermediate frequency current to supply the intermediate
frequency alternating current flowing through the capacitor and
induction coil. It generates high-density magnetic lines in the induction
coil and cuts the metal materials contained in the induction coil, and a
large eddy current is produced in the metal material.
This kind of eddy current also has some properties of intermediate

Induction furnace is widely used for smelting of non-ferrous metals,
mainly used for smelting ferrous materials such as steel, alloy steel,
special steel, cast iron, stainless steel, zinc and other non-ferrous

heating and heat preservation of copper, aluminum and other

after working with intermediate frequency electric induction furnace,
without the need for professional workers to conduct furnace burning
and sealing in advance. Because of the fast heating speed of this heating
method, there is little oxidation. The oxidation burning loss of medium
frequency heating forging is only 0.5%, the oxidation burn loss of gas
furnace heating is 2%, the coal-fired furnace reaches 3%. The medium
frequency heating process saves materials. Compared with the coal
burning furnace, the raw material of steel is saved at least 20-50 kg
compared with the coal burning furnace. The utilization rate of the
material can reach 95%. Because the heating method is even and the
temperature difference between the core and the surface is very small,
the forging die life is greatly increased in forging. The surface roughness
of forgings is also less than 50um process, and the medium frequency
heating oil can save 31.5% to 54.3% of the energy saving, which is 5% -
40% more energy saving than gas heating. The heating quality is good,
the waste rate can be reduced by 1.5%, the productivity is increased by
10% - 30%, and the life of the die can be prolonged by 10% - 15%.
