What are White-Goods ? 2 Consumer durables are devided into two parts according to usage and flexibility Consumer electronics (Brown Goods) Relatively light electronic consumer durables distinct from heavy consumer durables . Brown goods are electronic equipments intended for everyday use Consumer Appliances (White Goods) Heavy consumer durables which used to be painted only in white enamel finish (Despite their availability in varied colors now) . They are still called white goods or Major appliances

Demand for electronics hardware in India is expected to reach US$ 400 billion by FY24*.

Micromax plans to invest US$ 89.25 million by 2020 Dyson will invest around Rs 1,300 crore in the Indian White-Goods sector by 2023. V-Guard acquired 49.43 per cent stake in GUTS Electro-Mech in 2017 Flipkart launched its private label ‘Marq’ for selling large appliances in India in 2018 Haier announced an investment of Rs 3,000 cr by 2020. Samsung has announced an investment of Rs 5,000 cr at Noida plant.
